The Big Girls!!

Yes - we were known as the Big Girls back in College - I think it was because we lived in "the Big House"  (not prison) on the wonderful beach of Fairfield and not that we were actually big girls.  There might be a debate about that.  We might have eaten more than our fair share.    Anyway, last week-end I had the great fortune of reuniting with some of the big girls and their husbands and children.   We had so much fun!!!   These are the kind of friends who can go years without seeing each  other and fall right back into the stories and laughs like we had never been apart.  These are true friendships that you just know will last a life time.  Laughter, lots of laughter, memories, stories, good strong bonds, and enough hugs to last us until we get together again, that's what makes up a big girls reunion.  Thank you Fairfield University for bringing us all together.  I put a little slideshow together for us and I'm going to post it here until one of them yells at me to take it off.  I love you all and I'm so happy to be one of the "big girls".    If you would like to see us, and who wouldn't :)   click here.

Jackie & Sean

Wow!!!   I don't even know where to begin to describe this wedding, this couple, this day.   Just Wow!   Jackie and Sean first dated in Kindergarten.   I can  just picture how adorable they must have been then because boy were they gorgeous on their wedding day.  Smiles, smiles, and more smiles.  Their bridal party was over the top awesome - the girls were beautiful and the guys were such a blast.  I had so much fun with all of you.

If anyone has not had the opportunity to see the campus of West Point you're missing out.  The architecture there is incredible and, across the river, you can see the castle where they filmed the Wizard of Oz - spooky.   It is just a magical place.  I shot this wedding with Anthony DeCarlo which was quite a treat.

Although Sean and Jackie will be apart for some time after their honeymoon they will have the memories of this incredible day deep within them until they are together again.  I thank you both so much for letting me see how truly wonderful you are.

If you'd like to see more of the wedding, CLICK HERE for the slideshow.  Enjoy.

Gina

I can't even begin to tell you how awesome Gina is - she is as down to earth as she is beautiful.   We had so much fun together it was like being with an old friend.  Thank you Gina for letting me cart you around the beautiful beaches of Branford while capturing your kindness in photographs.   I get such amazing energy from kind people and magnificent scenery - keep it coming!

Luke & Mathew

I have had so much fun watching Luke grow into a wonderful big brother to Mathew.  It's fun to watch families grow from the time I photograph the wedding to the birth of the first child and then the second child and then...well you get the point.  I get a bit sentimental.  Maybe more than a bit.  It's just fun!  We had an extended session with parents and grandparents which was special.   These are a few of my favorites of "the guys".

I'm Baaaaacccckkk!!!

It seems like such a short time span when you're the one away on vacation but as my sister would say - it seems like I've been away for about six weeks.  Ok, I'm back.  Rested.  Relaxed.  Ready to go!  I had such a great time on vacation.  The second half was spent pretty much sitting on the beach with an occasional search for shells thrown in.  When I relax - I relax.  Oh, and eat.  It's time to move around now, get back to the gym, and resume a proper eating schedule (or whatever).  Here are a few photos from my first session back  where you can clearly see that I was treated to the cutest faces around.  Life is not so bad when you leave the beach to come home to work on the beach.  I love my job!

Ahhhh Vacation :)

Yes it's that wonderful time of the year again when I take off for vacation.  Yeah!!!!!  The first week was spent visiting friends in the Beaches section of Toronto, Canada.  What a fantastic place.  This is the time of year that the Jazz Festival goes on in the Beaches so there is so much awesome music to listen to.  They have music on every block of the entire Queen Street for three nights and then everything moves to Kew Gardens for the week end portion of the Jazz fest.  One of my favorite musicians was playing on the street so of course I was standing there each night dancing along to the beautiful sounds of his spanish guitar.  If you haven't heard him yet, check out Johannes Linstead - Fantastic!    Great food, great music, and most importantly, great friends.  Now I'm heading to Cape Cod for a serious week of R&R!!!   I am as blessed as anyone can possibly be.  Life is Good.

Allison & Geoff

We picked one of the hottest days yet for this engagement session but Allison and Geoff were a couple of real troopers!!!  Just looking out at the day from inside the air-conditioned car made us sweat.  I should have cut it short on such a day but ... with two good-looking people in love I just couldn't help myself.  You were both awesome and I can't wait for your wedding!    It will be much cooler in September, I promise.

Jana & Brendan

I'm so excited for Jana & Brendan's wedding this September!   Based on how much fun they are and how easy going they were in their engagement session it's going to be a fabulous wedding day!  Beautiful scenery and gorgeous couples are just one of the reasons that I absolutely love doing engagement sessions - what a great opportunity to get to know a couple prior to their wedding day.    We headed right to the beach for this session but made a pit stop at the general store here in Branford where there are some awesome classic cars (which Brendan loves).  Jana you're made to model :)

Jenn and Mike

Jenn and Mike are two of the nicest people around and their wedding day fit them perfectly.  There were lots of smiles, well wishes, sun beams, flowers, shore breezes, and laughs to name some of the characterizations of the day.  Friends and family were treated to a fantastic time at The Inn at Longshore.  Thank you Jenn and Mike for giving me the opportunity to capture your memories.  I wish you the best as you head off for two awesome weeks in Italy.  How jealous am I!   Take a look at the slideshow and enjoy!  David helped me out with this wedding - what a treat!  He has a great organization you should check out.  All was going well until one of the wait staff asked me if he was my son -what?!?! - in my mind I'm still about 16 years old - seriously!  devastation set in but I shook it off and thought...well, he is cute so maybe that slam was ok.
