Can you believe this weather so far?  April is noted to be a rainy month ... so far so good.  The wedding that I photographed on Saturday is proof of that!  The temperature was ideal and the sun was shining.  Congratulations Jessica and Kevin!  They were such a great couple to work with.  All in all - a great day!  We took a detour to City Hall in Hartford before we went on to the Farmington Club.  Take a look at how gorgeous City Hall is...

New England Institute of Professional Photography

This is the time of year that I head off to the Cape for a week of intensive learning.  I took a children's portraiture class with Stewart and Susan Powers of Gainesville, FL.  They were amazing!  This year the school was at Oceans Edge in Brewster.  Check out my photos of the place.  Our class with the Powers was one of the best yet.  We all became so close and are continuing the friendships we made.  One important lesson that I learned was what it felt like to be on the other side of the camera.  You will see a portrait of me that the Powers took and I'm being brave enough to put it up here.  I can't believe how nervous I was to pose in front of everyone.  Now I have a much better understanding of what people feel when they tell me they're nervous before their sessions.  Anyway I'm back and "powered" up!

NEW BEGINNINGS

Welcome to my brand new blog!!!  It's a great time of the year to be starting this. Everything seems to be beginning right now - warmer temperatures, baseball season, flowers - well, you get the picture.  For me it's also the beginning of the wedding season.  Yeah!  I had an awesome wedding on sunday at the Hyatt Regency in Greenwich.  What a fantastic place for a wedding.  It doesn't matter what the weather is like outside, it's always beautiful and dry inside their wonderfully landscaped atrium.  Did I mention that I had the greatest couple as well?  Yes, Gwen and Dan were the best way to start out the season.  They were amazing!  Take a look at some of the photos from the wedding and click here for the slideshow.
